Cobalt Air operates maiden flight
Cobalt Air, via its official Twitter account, confirmed (01-Jun-2016) the successful operation of its first Larnaca-Athens service.
Cobalt CEO, Andrew Pyne, stated that the company aims at developing into an important regional player in air travel while at the same time promoting Cyprus as a tourist destination.
It is expected that by the end of June, Cobalt will have increased its fleet by a further three Airbus 320. Flights to the UK and other European destinations are expected to be included in the company’s schedules. Programmed flights will include destinations including Athens, Thessaloniki, Chania, London (Stansted), Manchester, Dublin, and Paris.
Expansion of the company’s operations is expected with the gradual addition of more planes to the company’s fleet within 2016 and 2017.
